EC Status and Availability

Included in MOH guidelines, Norlevo 1.5mg replaced NorLevo 0.75mg in Oct 2004.
Where EC is available:
EC is available at pharmacies without a prescription. The cost can be reimbursed when dispensed upon prescription by a physician or a midwife. EC is free of charge for minors and will be dispensed anonymously from pharmacies and will be free of charge (the pharmacist will be paid directly by insurance). EC is also available in family planning centers and high schools, where it is delivered by nurses.
